Take a New Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 02.18.21

Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got ten brand-new questions that cover everything from famous tailwaters to original fly names to movie quotes.

The last quiz was a pretty hard one, producing no 100% or 90% scores. (I’m not sure that’s even happened before.) However, seven of you got just two wrong. For the second week in a row, the most common score was a 50%. Let’s hope you all find this quiz more tailored to your knowledge base.

The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive the Complete Hy-Flote Floatant System, which includes all the fly-fishing floatant you need to keep flies afloat in one handy kit: premium gel, paste, powder, and fly dryer..

The winner of our last quiz (as determined by the Google random number generator)–who will also receive the floatant kit–is Clint Brumitt, whose score caused him to opine, “If it weren’t for bad luck, I would have no luck at all.”

So post your score below (or below the post on our Facebook page!) for a chance to win a great video.

Good luck!

  1. 70% – I must have included a few salmon species that are now extinct. Or, I counted multiple common names. How is that for an excuse?
